Driver handheld has problem with Microsoft Vista and Route Manager.
Notes and Signatures comes up blank when uploading to Route Manager.

Symptoms:

Driver does his route and collects signatures and notes from customers using his handheld. While doing the Afternoon upload to Route Manager all of the data from their customers are uploaded to Route Manager except for the signatures and notes. Customer is running Microsoft Vista and RM2000.

Cause:

Microsoft Vista’s security will block bitmap (.bmp) files.
Route Manager uses bitmap files for all notes and signatures from the handheld.

Resolution:

If you are running Route Manager on Vista then you need to start Route Manager as Administrator. Before starting Route Manager right click on the Route Manager Shortcut icon and select “Run as Administrator”. This will give Route Manager the authority to receive bitmap files.
