Low printer battery voltage is a problem for the Bluetooth CMP-10 printer.
Symptoms:
A small drop in printer voltage causes the printer to stop printing or sometimes start printing pieces of information (but not the entire receipt).
Cause:
Low voltage from printer usage or defective batteries.
Resolution:
Batteries typically can have a voltage drop of some 20 percent before they lose effectiveness. With the Bluetooth CMP-10 printer, a voltage at or around 7.6 volts causes the printer to stop printing. Fully charged the printer is at approximately 8.4 volts. This is more like a 10 percent drop.
To prevent unexpected shutdowns, check the voltage on your CMP-10 regularly. To do this, you will need to do a printer self test. You can do this by first turning off the printer, then hold down the FEED button. Now, turn the printer back on. It should print a self test page with information on your printer and the current voltage. Do this regularly to be forwarned of impending low voltage and printer stoppage.
More Information:
Note: The procedure for checking voltage may vary depending on which printer you have. The printer manual supplied with your printer should also contain instructions on printing a self test page with your printer.
